You’re At Your Limits

Think about this. You live the way you do because you cannot see beyond your limits. What are your limits?Limits on you may be financial, education, work, and family commitments. It maybe that all of these are limiting you and your potential to earn more income.

Sometime we find ourselves comfortable in our present situation and do not give a thought to the future. Other times we become very uncomfortable with our situation and struggle to find the answer we need to improve our lot in life. We can move from comfortable to uncomfortable and back again without really recognising the factors influencing our decisions. We can be comfortable with our lot, until the school fees come in, the rates are due and the car needs to be repaired. The feeling of helplessness overwhelms us and we find ways to meet the bills because we are trying to get back to that feeling of being comfortable.

Whilst we do this exercise in money gathering, we never really look at the underlying cause of our situation. Our time, mind and energy are concentrated on meeting the demands put upon us. Once the demands are met, we go back to being comfortable and forget that this will happen again.

Imagine if you will, for a moment, never having to worry about another bill or money demand again. What would it be like to have all the money you would need to pay for all you wanted? I just heard you say that you cannot do that. Limits are those things that we place on ourselves. Nobody else tells you that cannot do something you want to do. Has anybody ever said to you “You can’t buy that car! I won’t let you.”  Limits are self generated by our own minds based on our incorrect reasoning.

The root causes of our limits are based on internal financial calculations. So to improve our situation we have to improve our financial situation. We have to stop limiting ourselves by thinking that we are limited in our ability to create more money for the things we want. We have unlimited ability to think. We create more money by thinking about it when we are uncomfortable, so why don’t we create more money by thinking about it when we are relatively comfortable? It’s because of our self imposed limits.

We have had many years of believing that we are only able to earn a limited amount and that when the need arises we can always make a little bit more. This thinking is limited and unless we change it, it will rule us and our ability to create wealth.

Start right now. Change your thinking. Imagine that you are earning twice what you usually earn. Imagine how that feels. Now when you see that this year you didn’t earn that much it puts you in an uncomfortable position. Immediately your mind starts to work on ways to increase your income to get back up to that new limited amount you should be earning. This mental exercise will force your mind into thinking of ways to get back up to your comfortable level of income.

You might think that you could learn how to invest in shares, or invest in some financial education. You could take a casual job, or sell something at the local market.
